Public call for expressions of interest for potential AFMA funding
As part of its current research funding round, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is making an additional call for expressions of interest (EOI) to address strategic research priorities identified for potential AFMA funding in future financial years.
The AFMA Research Committee (ARC) met on 25 August 2021 to consider both fishery-specific and strategic research priorities. A call relating to fishery-specific research priorities was previously made on 16 September 2021. This call is separate to that and relates to strategic research priorities identified at that meeting.
Applicants should use the strategic research priority scopes provided as a guide when developing their EOIs to meet the identified need for the project.
To assist in quality control and to ensure that the EOI is relevant to identified strategic research priorities, applicants are invited to discuss their applications with the relevant AFMA Fishery Manager and the AFMA Research Section prior to submitting an EOI.
Please note that AFMA is seeking submission of EOIs in response to this call by Friday, 3 December. The ARC will consider all EOIs received at its early February 2022 meeting.
Applicants will be notified in late February 2022, whether their EOIs have been endorsed for further development.
Find the strategic research priority scopes and further information on completing EOIs on the AFMA call for EOIs webpage.
