The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is seeking suitable applicants to apply for several vacant members positions currently available on some of our Management Advisory Committees (MACs) and Resource Assessment Groups (RAGs).

Earlier this month, three large ghost nets were removed from Queensland waters between the Gulf of Carpentaria and the Torres Strait, in a joint operation by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) and Parks Australia.

AFMA is closed during our end-of-year office shutdown period from 24 December 2022 to 2 January 2023 inclusive.
