Joint media release Australian Border Force and the Australian Fisheries Management Authority

In the lead up to the 2021 Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery season opening in July, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is working with industry to conduct the annual biomass survey.

This is a joint media release between the ABF, Australian Fisheries Management Authority, the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency (BAKAMLA) and the Indonesian Directorate General of Surveillance for Marine and Fisheries Resources (PSDKP)

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is reminding fishers that ‘take home packs’ no longer exist.

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is seeking applications for members on three Management Advisory Committees (MACs):

• the Northern Prawn Fishery MAC (NORMAC);
• Tropical Tuna Fisheries MAC (TTMAC); and
• Sub-Antarctic Fisheries MAC (SouthMAC).
